The role

We are hiring a Bulgarian Language Review Specialist to perform review, translation, editing, and quality assurance on Bulgarian-language documents used for AI training and evaluation. This is a contractor, part-time position open worldwide.

This role focuses on document work and includes both translation/localization and evaluation/rating tasks; successful contributors balance linguistic accuracy with cultural nuance and consistent terminology.

• Languages required: Bulgarian (native or near-native) and English.
• Time commitment: 20+ hours per week, part-time contractor.
• Data type: DOCUMENT; label types: TRANSLATION_LOCALIZATION and EVALUATION_RATING.

What you'll do

Your main responsibility is to ensure Bulgarian content is accurate, natural, and culturally appropriate for target audiences. Work will include translation, targeted edits, and quality evaluations against project guidelines.

• Review source materials and translated content for grammar, clarity, and cultural relevance.
• Translate content between English and Bulgarian while preserving meaning and context.
• Evaluate and rate translations and model outputs according to project rubrics.
• Create and maintain glossaries, terminology lists, and style guidance.
• Collaborate in virtual meetings and provide practical linguistic solutions.
• Ensure all communications reflect the specified brand voice and messaging standards.

Requirements

You must demonstrate strong Bulgarian language skills, relevant experience in translation or localization, and the ability to produce polished, error-free work under deadlines.

• Native or near-native fluency in Bulgarian with excellent written and verbal skills.
• Experience in translation, localization, language QA, or proofreading.
• Proven attention to detail and commitment to high-quality output.
