About This Role

We are hiring a Bengali Language Expert to translate, localize, and linguistically review written and spoken Bengali content. This is a remote contractor role suited to someone who keeps quality high across multiple projects and can adapt tone and terminology for different audiences.

• Hours: 20+ hours/week (part‑time contractor)
• Pay: hourly, up to $30/hr (typical range $10–$30/hr)
• Work type: text-focused tasks (translation, localization, evaluation)
• Languages: native-level Bengali (bn); worldwide applicants accepted
• Labeling work: Translation/Localization and Evaluation/Rating

What You'll Do

You will be responsible for producing high-quality Bengali language work across translation, localization, and review tasks. Projects will require careful attention to tone, clarity, and cultural appropriateness.

• Translate and localize documents, UI text, and communications to and from Bengali
• Review and edit content for tone, style, terminology, clarity, and consistency
• Support cultural adaptation and content‑creation efforts with cross-functional teams
• Resolve Bengali language questions and provide expert guidance
• Propose and contribute to process improvements for language projects

Requirements

Successful applicants will demonstrate native-level Bengali proficiency, proven experience with translation or localization tasks, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines.

• Native-level proficiency in written and spoken Bengali
• Strong command of Bengali grammar, vocabulary, and usage
• Background in translation, localization, or linguistic analysis
• Proven experience translating or localizing documents and content
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
• Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines

Helpful Background
