OpenTrain is the #1 platform for building careers in AI training and data labeling. We help people discover projects, build a unified portfolio, and grow a durable freelance career teaching AI by contributing annotation, review, and quality work.
Work remotely on AI training projects across industries.
Build experience with rubrics, style guides, and team QA processes.
About AI training and this work
AI training (also called data labeling or annotation) is the human work that teaches models how to read, write, translate, and reason. Contributors review and score model outputs, correct or translate text, and create examples that define model behavior.
This role focuses on Bengali-language review and QA: you will shape how Bengali outputs are judged and improved across projects by enforcing rubrics, coaching contributors, and maintaining language standards.
Tasks typically include evaluation ratings and text summarization of model outputs.
Projects are remote and often flexible in schedule; many contributors work part time.
The role — what a QA Lead does
As a Bengali Quality Assurance Lead you will oversee quality and consistency across Bengali AI training projects. You will evaluate AI-generated Bengali content and trainers' or QAs' submissions against project rubrics, provide precise written feedback, and help keep teams aligned on language standards.
Review content for accuracy, fluency, grammar, tone, cultural appropriateness, meaning preservation, formatting, and instruction-following.
Identify recurring issues and communicate clear, actionable feedback to trainers and QAs.
Maintain and update Bengali style guides, FAQs, examples, onboarding materials, honeypots, and trackers.
Daily responsibilities and collaboration
You will be a hands-on reviewer and a coordinator: running reviews, answering contributor questions, supporting onboarding, and helping keep distributed quality workflows moving. Expect both independent review work and synchronous support such as training calls.
Support onboarding and training calls for trainers and QAs.
Respond to questions about register, translation fidelity, and regional usage (Bangladesh vs West Bengal).
Monitor contributor activity and help maintain project trackers and dashboards.
Requirements
These requirements are required for consideration. We do not accept substitutions for core language or coordination skills.
Native or near-native Bengali reading and writing ability.
Strong English communication skills for guidelines, feedback, and team coordination.
Experience reviewing Bengali translation, localization, content QA, or related language-review work.
Ability to evaluate content against detailed rubrics and spot mistranslation, awkward phrasing, and inconsistent terminology.
Experience working with remote collaborators and maintaining quality documentation.
Helpful background and tools
The following are not required but make you a stronger candidate and help you ramp quickly in a QA lead role.
Degree in Bengali, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, Education, or a related field.
Experience leading or supporting annotators, trainers, reviewers, editors, or QA teams.
Familiarity with Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management tools.
Experience with AI training, rubric-based LLM QA, prompt/response evaluation, or annotation workflows.
