The Role
OpenTrain is seeking an Assamese Quality Assurance Lead to review AI-generated Assamese content and trainer or QA submissions. You will evaluate quality against project rubrics, answer contributor questions, communicate expectations, and help improve operations for Assamese-language AI training projects.
This expert-level contractor role is remote and available to candidates in Bhutan, Bangladesh, and India. The estimated workload is about 20 hours per week for approximately 1 to 3 months, with hourly pay of up to $30.

What You’ll Do
Review Assamese AI training content and trainer or QA submissions for accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, formatting, and meaning preservation.
Identify recurring quality issues and escalate critical problems.
Communicate project updates and quality expectations to trainers and QAs.
Answer questions about Assamese wording, register, translation fidelity, cultural context, and edge cases.
Support contributor onboarding and training calls.
Help keep contributors active and aligned with workflow expectations.
Propose workflow improvements that strengthen Assamese QA operations.
Requirements
You should be able to assess Assamese content precisely and explain quality decisions clearly in English. The work requires strong language judgment, attention to detail, and comfort applying structured rubrics and style guidance.
Native or near-native Assamese proficiency with strong reading and writing ability.
Strong English communication skills for project guidelines and written feedback.
Experience in Assamese writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, education, annotation, or related language review work.
Strong understanding of Assamese grammar, spelling conventions, punctuation, tone, register, and cultural context.
Ability to identify mistranslation, literal phrasing, unnatural tone, hallucinated claims, ambiguity, and inconsistent terminology.
Comfort with Discord, Google Sheets, Google Docs, trackers, dashboards, and project management tools.
Experience supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers, editors, or QAs is preferred.
Helpful Background
The following experience or education can help you succeed in the role, though the core requirement is strong Assamese language QA ability.
A degree in Assamese, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
Experience with AI training, data annotation, large language models, prompt or response evaluation, or rubric-based LLM QA.
Familiarity with style guides, FAQs, honeypots, and onboarding documentation.
