The Role

OpenTrain is seeking an Audio Recording QA Specialist, also described as a Language Moderator and QA Specialist, to coordinate multi-speaker recording sessions for a multilingual AI training data program. You will help participants produce natural, authentic conversations and verify that recordings meet project standards before downstream annotation and diarization.

This is an entry-level, part-time contractor role requiring 20+ hours per week. You will work remotely with contributors and need a reliable internet connection.

What You'll Do

You will guide recording sessions from preparation through quality review, keeping participants, files, and project tracking aligned. Strong judgment and careful follow-through are important because each deliverable must be complete and ready for the next stage of the AI training workflow.

• Lead and coordinate multi-speaker recording sessions that produce natural, authentic conversations.
• Monitor audio quality in real time and identify background noise, clipping, channel bleed, distortion, and other defects.
• Manage session schedules, participant readiness, and recording logistics with precision.
• Oversee transcription quality and ensure deliverables are polished and complete.
• Update progress trackers and maintain visibility across tasks.
• Support audio deliverables before they proceed to annotation and diarization.

Requirements

You should be organized, dependable, and comfortable coordinating multiple speakers and remote recording sessions. Native proficiency in at least one listed language is required, along with the ability to review audio carefully and keep project information accurate.

• Strong organizational skills for managing multiple speakers and recording sessions consistently.
• Excellent attention to detail for audio file quality assurance, naming conventions, and tracker maintenance.
• A good ear for audio fidelity and the ability to detect noise, clipping, distortion, or channel bleed.
• Native proficiency in US English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, Arabic, or Korean.
• Reliable internet connection and the ability to coordinate remote contributors.

Helpful Background
