  • Remote contract work
  • Project-based engagement expected to last under one month
  • Flexible commitment of less than 20 hours per week
  • Compensation of $150 to $350 per hour

About AI Training Work

AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Experts provide examples, judgments, edits, and explanations that help advanced models learn how to reason, communicate, and perform useful work.

For this project, your practical knowledge of creative industries and your visual and editorial judgment will help train AI systems using high-quality presentation materials. Previous AI or data-labeling experience is not required.

  • Work directly with real-world professional content
  • Apply creative judgment and industry context to AI training
  • Help shape how advanced models understand visual communication and business storytelling

The Role

OpenTrain is seeking an Arts, Media & Design Expert for PowerPoint review and reconstruction. You will work with images of business-focused slides in areas such as editorial strategy, audience engagement, production pipelines, and creative reviews.

You will reconstruct slides in Microsoft PowerPoint, improve their clarity and visual communication, and explain the reasoning behind your work. Assignments are completed in flexible, sprint-based project cycles, with a production target of one to two hours per slide.

  • Contractor and part-time project-based position
  • Worldwide remote opportunity
  • English-language work requiring fluent English proficiency
  • Expected weekly commitment under 20 hours

What You’ll Do

Your work will combine presentation design, content editing, visual storytelling, and domain-specific review. You will be expected to improve weaker elements while recognizing and defending choices that are already effective.

Each assignment requires a detailed rationale log describing changes made, elements intentionally preserved, and the reasoning behind those decisions.

  • Analyze business-centric presentation slide images
  • Reconstruct slides using Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Improve layout, data visualization, clarity, narrative flow, and visual appeal
  • Preserve accurate terminology, industry caveats, brand guidelines, and domain definitions
  • Create clear message hierarchies and evidence-supported titles
  • Select appropriate visual exhibits for creative directors, executives, and client stakeholders
  • Document and defend design, editorial, and content decisions
  • Complete each slide assignment within the expected one-to-two-hour production timeframe

Required Skills And Experience

The ideal candidate brings practical experience in arts, media, publishing, entertainment, agency work, or design-related roles. The structured experience level for this opportunity is entry level, but the preferred qualifications call for at least three years of relevant practical experience.

Strong candidates can create or enhance executive-level and client-facing presentations while making careful decisions about design, content, accuracy, and visual narrative.

  • At least three years of practical experience in media, publishing, entertainment, agency, or design-related professional roles preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills, including layout, typography, formatting, grid alignment, and visual design features
  • Experience with presentation design, slide reconstruction, data visualization, and visual storytelling
  • Strong content editing, critical-thinking, written communication, and attention-to-detail skills
  • Ability to build message hierarchy within business communications
  • Familiarity with creative and editorial terminology, copyright and intellectual property nuances, and domain-specific decision-making
  • Ability to provide clear, evidence-based rationales for modifications and retained elements
  • AI training, model evaluation, data annotation, or rubric-writing experience is helpful but not required
  • Fluent English proficiency

Who Should Apply

This opportunity suits professionals who can combine creative judgment with structured analysis. It may be a strong fit if you have worked with executive presentations, client communications, editorial content, creative direction, or design strategy and can explain why a visual or editorial choice works.

You do not need prior experience in AI. Your expertise in presentation design, visual communication, and the arts, media, publishing, or entertainment sectors is the central qualification.

  • Presentation designers and visual storytellers
  • Creative directors and design strategists
  • Arts, media, publishing, or entertainment professionals
  • Editors with strong visual communication skills
