The Role
OpenTrain AI is seeking an AI Training Data Project Coordinator to keep AI training data projects organized from kickoff through delivery. You will serve as an operational bridge between program leadership and a growing team of domain experts, helping turn leadership direction into clear workflows, guidelines, and deliverables.
This intermediate-level contract role requires at least three years of project coordination or project management experience, including hands-on work on AI training-data or human-data projects.

What You'll Do
You will coordinate day-to-day operations across AI data projects, support expert teams, and help identify improvements that make project delivery more consistent and effective.
- Act as a day-to-day point of contact for AI data projects.
- Translate program leadership input into clear guidelines for expert teams.
- Onboard and support new experts as the program grows.
- Participate in weekly business reviews and organize notes and action items.
- Lead project calls when needed.
- Identify quality issues, investigate root causes, and share findings across teams.
- Create and refine project guidelines with research and product partners.
- Flag potential roadblocks early and work toward resolution.
- Track project deliverables using Google Sheets and Excel.
Requirements
This role is designed for an experienced coordinator or project manager who can organize large, cross-functional teams and work comfortably across operational, technical, and expert-facing workflows.
- 3+ years of project coordination or project management experience
- Ability to coordinate large, cross-functional teams
- Hands-on experience with AI training-data or human-data projects as a project coordinator, team lead, EPM, or expert contributor
- Strong data-management skills, including Excel and SQL
- Working knowledge of coding
- Prior people-management experience or demonstrated ability to lead large groups
- STEM background strongly preferred
- English language proficiency
- Must be based in the United States

Experience coordinating AI or data programs, or serving as an EPM or project lead on comparable AI training projects, can help you succeed in this role. Background supporting large expert teams is especially relevant.
