Video data collection is an accessible way to contribute to this fast-growing industry. Your recordings and accurate metadata can help models learn from natural activities and environments.
OpenTrain AI is seeking Video Data Collector contributors for a remote contractor project focused on AI training video data collection. You will capture natural, first-person video of everyday activities using a smartphone during the initial phase, then transition to updated workflows and company-provided video equipment in later phases.
The expected project duration is 1 to 3 months. No prior AI experience is required, but you should be comfortable recording video, following detailed instructions, managing metadata, and meeting privacy, consent, safety, and quality requirements.
You will independently plan and complete video collection assignments in approved settings while maintaining accurate records and dependable communication with project coordinators. Assignments may take place at home, in public areas, or in commercial and outdoor environments as the project evolves.
Some recordings may involve other participants. When group activities are assigned, you will coordinate with participants and obtain all required written consents and permissions before recording.
This opportunity is suitable for entry-level contributors with strong attention to detail and an interest in hands-on AI training work. Previous experience with video capture, video labeling workflows, or data collection is preferred.
You must be based in one of the listed countries and comfortable working in English. You should also be able to adapt to changing equipment, instructions, and project workflows.
Please create and use a new email address when applying online. During the technical screening assessment, do not use AI tools. The assessment is intended to evaluate your personal skills and knowledge, and using AI assistance will lead to immediate rejection.
