The role
As a Home Video Data Collector you will record first-person videos of routine household tasks using your smartphone mounted in a headstrap. This is a part-time contractor role for contributors in the United States who can commit 20+ hours per week and follow project quality guidelines.
Data collected: first-person video (hands-free) of household activities.
Time commitment: 20+ hours per week (part-time contractor).
Pay: hourly, $10–$15 USD per hour.
Location: United States only; you must reside in one of the eligible states listed below.
What you'll do
You will film routine chores and household activities as instructed, ensuring recordings meet the project's technical and quality requirements.
Record first-person videos while wearing a headstrap to keep the phone hands-free.
Perform specific activities such as cleaning, cooking, organizing, or other household tasks following provided scripts or prompts.
Ensure recordings are clear, steady, properly framed, and synced according to project guidelines.
Submit completed videos for review and follow any correction or reshoot requests.
Requirements
You must meet all of the following to be eligible for this project.
Own a compatible smartphone: iPhone 12 or newer, Google Pixel 6, 7, 8, or 9, or Samsung Galaxy S21 or newer.
Be comfortable using a headstrap to hold the phone for hands‑free, first‑person recording.
Physically able to perform repetitive household tasks safely.
Eligible to work in the United States and reside in one of these states: Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico
Fluent in English (project language).
