About OpenTrain

OpenTrain is the #1 platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling. We connect people with paid projects where they teach and shape AI systems by reviewing data, annotating content, and providing human feedback.

Why AI training work matters

AI training (also called data labeling or annotation) is the human foundation of modern AI: people prepare and review examples that models learn from. These projects are often remote, flexible, and accessible — a great way to do part-time work while shaping how cutting-edge AI behaves.

The role

We are hiring Finnish video content annotators based in Finland for a short test project that may extend into longer-term work. You will review transcripts of video content, identify transcription errors, and mark each issue with a timestamp and severity (major, minor, or none). Strong Finnish writing and attention to detail are essential.

  • Employment type: Contractor, Part-time
  • Estimated workload: Less than 20 hours per week
  • Pay: USD 22.00 per hour (hourly contract)

What you'll do

Your core responsibility is to assess the quality of written transcripts produced from video/audio and report issues clearly and consistently. Provide concise descriptions and the exact timestamps where problems occur, then indicate whether each error is major, minor, or absent.

  • Review video transcripts and listen to corresponding audio when needed
  • Flag and classify errors as major, minor, or no error
  • Record precise timestamps and short descriptions for each issue
  • Follow project guidelines and quality standards supplied by the client
  • Use the project's web-based annotation tool ()

Requirements

Candidates must meet the project's strict language and experience requirements to ensure accurate, reliable annotations.

  • Native-level speaker of Finnish (required)
  • Based in Finland (work must be performed from Finland)
  • 2–3 years' experience in video and audio annotation (Intermediate level)
  • Excellent Finnish writing skills and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow clear guidelines and produce consistent, timestamped reports

Who should apply

This opportunity fits annotators with prior video/audio transcription experience who want flexible, remote contract work. It is ideal for people who can reliably judge transcription quality and explain errors succinctly in Finnish.

  • Experienced transcribers, QA reviewers, or annotators fluent in Finnish
  • Detail-oriented contractors looking for part-time work (<20 hrs/week)
  • People open to a short test project with potential extension based on quality

Compensation, schedule, and how to apply

This is a paid hourly contract at USD 22.00 per hour. The project begins as a short test assignment; strong performance may lead to continued, longer-term work. Hours are part-time and flexible but must be completed while working from Finland.

To apply, create or sign in to your OpenTrain account and submit your profile and application for this role. OpenTrain is a platform for building careers in AI training and data labeling and will connect you with the project details and onboarding once you're selected.

  • Pay type: Hourly, USD 22.00/hr
  • Work location: Remote (must be located in Finland)
  • Time commitment: Less than 20 hours per week
  • Selection includes a short test task; extension depends on quality
