About OpenTrain

OpenTrain is the leading platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling. We connect skilled professionals to specialized, paid contract work that helps shape how modern AI systems behave and gives contributors a durable freelance path in a fast-growing industry.

About AI training and this work

AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback work) is the human side of building AI: people prepare, review, and rate examples that models learn from. This role is clinical and highly impactful — your reviews will directly influence medication guidance produced by AI systems used in prior authorization and medication-access contexts.

  • 100% remote, flexible contract work that lets you shape healthcare AI behavior.
  • Entry to expert-level projects exist across many domains; pharmacy expertise is in high demand.

The Role

OpenTrain is hiring a Clinical Pharmacist AI Reviewer to evaluate AI-generated medication guidance for prior authorization workflows. You will check responses for clinical accuracy, safety, clarity, completeness, and evidence support, then correct issues and provide structured annotations and written feedback.

This is a US-only contractor, part-time role paying $70/hour. The project expects a meaningful weekly commitment (the role description references availability for 30–40 hours/week and the project lists a 20+ hours/week requirement). You must hold an active US pharmacist license (PharmD or equivalent).

  • Pay: $70 per hour (contractor, part-time).
  • Location: United States only; remote work.
  • Time: 20+ hours/week minimum; project-level expectations mention 30–40 hours/week availability.

What you'll do

  • Review AI-generated medication guidance for clinical accuracy, safety, completeness, and clarity.
  • Answer medication-related clinical questions using patient context, source materials, and labeling guidelines.
  • Correct unsupported or incomplete responses and provide structured written feedback and annotations.
  • Identify insufficient evidence, conflicting guidance, patient-safety concerns, and unclear clinical context.
  • Apply project rubrics, participate in calibration exercises, and maintain consistent quality over time.
  • Escalate ambiguous or high-risk cases per project procedures.

Requirements

  • Active US Pharmacist license (PharmD or equivalent) — required.
  • Strong experience with medications, pharmacy workflows, and clinical decision-making.
  • Excellent knowledge of drug interactions, contraindications, and prescribing guidelines.
  • Proven written communication skills and high attention to detail.
  • Comfort following structured annotation guidelines and using written feedback rubrics.
  • Ability to review AI-generated clinical answers for safety and evidence support.
  • English fluency; must be located in the United States.

Preferred qualifications

  • Prior authorization, specialty pharmacy, or medication access experience.
  • Managed care, clinical quality assurance, or prior authorization workflow experience.
  • Familiarity with EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner.
  • Experience with clinical content review, AI evaluation, RLHF, or healthcare data annotation.
  • Knowledge of 340B or medication assistance program processes.

How it works / Next steps

OpenTrain is the hiring and contracting organization for this project. If you meet the requirements, create or update your OpenTrain profile, submit your application, and include licensure and relevant clinical experience.

Selected candidates will participate in project orientation and calibration to learn the rubric and annotation tools. Work is contracted and paid hourly at the stated rate.

  • Apply with your active US pharmacist license and clinical experience details.
  • Expect a calibration/training step before doing production reviews.
