The Role

OpenTrain is recruiting an accounting and audit expert to create, evaluate, and refine realistic tasks for advanced AI systems. The work covers financial reporting, internal controls, compliance, assurance, complex accounting issues, financial statements, disclosures, and reporting requirements.

You will help ensure that AI-generated solutions are technically accurate, practical, and well reasoned. The engagement is a contractor position that may run for up to nine weeks.

What You’ll Do

You will own the quality of expert accounting and audit training deliverables, from task creation through review and calibration. The work requires careful analysis of evidence, risks, controls, and material issues across realistic financial reporting and assurance scenarios.

  • Develop gold-standard solutions aligned with professional accounting and audit practices
  • Review and calibrate contributor output while owning day-to-day quality
  • Verify technical accuracy across financial reporting, controls, compliance, and assurance scenarios
  • Assess risks, review evidence, identify material issues, and maintain high-quality deliverables
  • Escalate genuine edge cases and unclear evaluation criteria to the appropriate expert lead

Required Qualifications

This role requires substantial professional experience and advanced technical judgment in accounting or audit. The source details identify an expected background of 8 to 15 years, including Manager to Director-level experience in public accounting or experience as an industry Controller.

  • CPA, CA, or ACCA accounting qualification

  • Proven audit judgment in risk assessment, evidence review, and material-issue identification
