The Role

OpenTrain AI is recruiting a US English Voice Recording Specialist to produce high-quality voice samples for AI training projects. You will combine natural voice performance with careful audio quality control, organized data collection, and clear communication about requirements, progress, and delivery timelines.

This is a worldwide, remote contractor opportunity for someone able to commit 20 or more hours per week. Compensation is $10–$30 per hour, depending on the applicable project and work performed.

What You'll Do

You will record, review, and organize voice samples so they are clear, natural, technically consistent, and ready for use in AI training. The work requires both engaging performance and close attention to audio details.

• Record your own voice with clear pronunciation and natural delivery
• Maintain accurate pitch, tone, clarity, and consistency across recordings
• Review recordings for clarity and technical quality
• Complete post-recording cleanup when needed
• Adjust delivery style for different scripts and project contexts
• Provide practical feedback and suggestions to improve script delivery and audio quality
• Label and document recordings accurately so files are easy to review and use
• Communicate clearly about project requirements, progress, and delivery timelines
• Manage multiple recordings independently while staying organized

Requirements

This opportunity is suited to candidates with professional or substantial experience in voice recording, audio engineering, voice-over, or a related audio-production field. The role is listed at an entry level, and previous AI training experience is not required; your audio expertise is the foundation for success.
