The Role
OpenTrain AI is recruiting a UK litigation and disputes lawyer to serve as a legal expert reviewer. You will compare answers from two AI language-model platforms and assess each response using a standardized legal evaluation rubric.
This is a part-time contractor engagement classified as entry level, while requiring at least two years of relevant litigation, disputes, or contentious-practice experience. The initial commitment is approximately 10 hours, with strong potential for additional work; the listed time requirement is 20+ hours per week.

What You’ll Do
You will independently review AI-generated legal answers and explain your assessment clearly. Consistency, accuracy, and adherence to the evaluation rubric are essential.
Run the same legal prompts through two AI language-model platforms
Compare the resulting answers side by side for accuracy and quality
Score each response against a standardized rubric
Submit concise written feedback explaining each evaluation
Apply UK litigation and procedural law knowledge consistently across reviews
Meet deadlines while working independently
Required Qualifications
Applicants must be qualified to practise in the United Kingdom and have substantial familiarity with UK litigation and procedural law. Experience must include litigation, disputes, or contentious practice at a law firm or barristers’ chambers.
At least two years of litigation, disputes, or contentious-practice experience
Three or more years of relevant experience preferred
Qualification to practise in the United Kingdom
Strong command of UK litigation and procedural law
Native or fluent English
Precise written communication
Ability to compare competing AI-generated legal answers using a standardized rubric
Independent judgment and reliable deadline management
Relevant Background
Experience in a law-firm or barristers’ chambers setting is especially relevant. Lawyers who moved in-house within the last two years may also be considered if they have the required prior firm or chambers experience.
