The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Tax Advisory AI Training Expert to review tax scenarios, tax documents, and advisory workflows used for AI training. You will assess model outputs against IRS regulations and professional standards, identify subtle issues, and help define what accurate and useful tax guidance should look like.

This role combines hands-on income tax preparation and filing expertise with structured evaluation, documentation, and rubric development. Previous AI training or model evaluation experience is not required when you bring strong tax domain knowledge and can assess tax-related reasoning carefully.

What You'll Do

You will examine tax-related content and AI-generated outputs with close attention to accuracy, completeness, consistency, and practical usefulness. Your feedback will help improve model reasoning across individual and business tax situations.

  • Document feedback and recommendations for improvement
  • Develop or apply rubrics, checklists, and quality standards for consistent tax evaluations

Requirements

This role requires an active CPA license or Enrolled Agent credential and proven expertise in income tax preparation and filing for individuals and/or businesses. You should be able to interpret tax rules carefully, recognize federal and state tax issues, and explain your analysis in a structured way.
