The Tax Advisor Role

As a Tax Advisor, you will apply your income tax preparation and advisory expertise to an AI training project focused on tax services. You will review tax scenarios and documents, develop or apply rubrics, assess model outputs, and identify nuances in federal and state tax situations.

This is a contractor and part-time role for an expert based in the United States. The expected project duration is one to three months, with compensation ranging from $80 to $110 per hour.

What You’ll Do

You will contribute detailed, accurate, and structured input based on professional experience in income tax preparation and filing. Your work will help establish high-quality examples and evaluation standards for AI systems operating in the tax advisory domain.

  • Review and analyze diverse real-world tax scenarios using IRS regulations and industry standards
  • Evaluate and annotate tax-related documents and workflows for AI training
  • Provide guidance and recommendations on income tax preparation and filing
  • Identify complex cases and edge cases in federal and state tax situations
  • Apply or develop rubrics, checklists, and quality standards
  • Review question-and-answer tasks and assess AI-generated responses
  • Monitor AI outputs for accuracy and completeness
  • Document insights and feedback in a structured, detailed format
  • Collaborate remotely with a multidisciplinary team
  • Suggest improvements to support iterative model development

Required Qualifications

An active CPA license or Enrolled Agent credential is required. You must also have proven expertise in income tax preparation and filing for individuals and/or businesses, along with fluent English proficiency.

Strong communication skills are important because you will need to explain complex tax concepts clearly and succinctly. Experience with AI training, RLHF, question answering, rubrics, or quality standards is required or directly relevant to the project.
