Why AI Training Matters
AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback work) is the human layer behind modern AI: people annotate, evaluate, and improve model outputs so systems become more accurate and natural. This category of work is highly accessible, often remote and flexible, and gives you direct influence over how state-of-the-art systems behave.
100% remote—work from anywhere with internet access (this project requires being located in Sweden).
Flexible, part-time contracting that fits around other commitments.
Entry and specialist roles: language skills and editorial judgment are highly valued.
The Role
OpenTrain AI is hiring a Swedish Language Specialist to review and improve AI-generated Swedish text. You will produce gold-standard Swedish answers, rewrite generated responses for fluency and cultural fit, and evaluate multiple model outputs for accuracy and tone. This is an intermediate-level, contractor role focused on text generation and evaluation tasks.
What You'll Do
Review AI-generated Swedish text for accuracy, grammar, spelling, tone, style, and cultural appropriateness.
Compare and rank multiple AI responses by correctness and overall quality.
Write high-quality Swedish rewrites and model answers (gold-standard outputs).
Fact-check claims and flag meaning shifts, hallucinations, and logical inconsistencies.
Evaluate register and terminology consistency for intended audiences (formal vs. informal).
Provide precise, constructive feedback that helps improve Swedish model reliability across general knowledge, customer support, education, and conversational tasks.
Requirements
You must meet the listed language, experience, and availability requirements to be considered for this role.
Native or near-native Swedish proficiency with excellent reading and writing skills.
Strong professional English ability for clear, detailed written feedback.
Experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, journalism, education, or related language work.
Excellent command of Swedish grammar, spelling, punctuation, register, and style.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to explain why a phrasing is wrong and how to improve it.
Prior AI data training, translation QA, or rubric-based evaluation experience is a strong plus.
Must be located in Sweden and able to work 20+ hours per week.
Intermediate experience level; this is a contractor, part-time engagement.
Helpful Background & Who Should Apply
This project is a great fit for Swedish language professionals who enjoy nuanced editorial decisions and improving machine-generated language. Ideal applicants have localization, translation, or editorial QA experience and care about consistency, tone, and accuracy.
Degree in Linguistics, Swedish/English literature, Translation, Journalism, Communications, or related fields is helpful but not required.
Experience with product or UI terminology consistency in Swedish localization is valuable.
Comfort adapting tone across formal and informal Swedish writing is an advantage.
