About OpenTrain

OpenTrain is the #1 platform for building careers in AI training and data labeling. We connect freelancers to ongoing annotation and human-feedback projects, help contributors track work across assignments, and support people growing a durable freelance career in AI training.

Why AI training matters

AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback work) is the human side of building modern AI: people create, review, and refine examples that teach models how to read, reason, summarize, and respond appropriately.

These projects are often 100% remote, flexible, and accessible to contributors with strong language, research, or analytical skills — and they directly shape how state-of-the-art systems behave.

The role

You will work as a Swedish Analytical AI Trainer helping to fine-tune and improve large language models by reading and summarizing content, validating claims with research, creating puzzle-style scenarios that train reasoning, and giving detailed feedback on model outputs.

This is a part-time contractor role (20+ hours/week; may be available up to 40 hours/week) performed remotely with required overlap of US hours for part of the week. Fluency in Swedish (reading and writing) and strong English comprehension are required.

  • Employment type: Contractor, Part-time
  • Time commitment: 20+ hours/week (up to ~40 hours possible)
  • Languages required: Swedish (strong reading/writing), English (comprehension)
  • Data type: Text; label work includes RLHF, evaluation rating, and text summarization

What you'll do

Daily work combines close reading, structured summarization, analytical problem design, and detailed annotation. You will provide correct answers and clear explanations that teach model reasoning and help evaluators improve model outputs.

  • Analyze longer content and break it into smaller logical blocks suitable for model training.
  • Design and solve analytical puzzles and scenario-based tasks that teach step-by-step reasoning.
  • Write accurate summaries and produce evidence-backed validations of claims through online research.
  • Evaluate model responses, provide constructive annotations, and give detailed feedback explaining mistakes and correct reasoning.

Requirements

We are looking for independent, detail-oriented contributors who can work remotely and communicate clearly. Prior professional experience in the exact task is not required, but you must meet the language and analytical standards below.

  • Strong Swedish reading and writing ability required.
  • Good English comprehension for reviewing and summarizing content.
  • Proven ability to validate claims through online research and cite sources.
  • Strong analytical reasoning, logical problem-solving, and creative lateral thinking.
  • Comfort giving constructive, detailed feedback and writing clear annotations.
  • Reliable laptop or desktop with internet access and ability to work independently.
  • Availability to work 20+ hours/week and overlap US hours for part of the week.

Helpful background (not required)

If you have related experience it will help you ramp faster, but it is not mandatory. We often see great contributors coming from writing, analysis, translation, or research roles.

  • Experience as a business analyst, research analyst, copywriter, journalist, technical writer, editor, or translator.
  • Undergraduate study in Engineering, Literature, Journalism, Communications, Arts, Statistics, or related fields.
  • Comfort with Excel and Google Suite and basic arithmetic/data interpretation skills.
