The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking a Supply Chain AI Training Specialist to bring hands-on supply chain expertise to an AI training project. You will complete realistic or hypothetical supply chain tasks involving ERP systems, demand planning, supplier evaluation, inventory analysis, procurement scenarios, and reporting.

This is a remote, freelance contractor position available worldwide. The role requires 20+ hours per week and is conducted in English. The listed experience level is entry level, while the project requires at least five years of hands-on ERP experience in a supply chain context.

What You'll Do

• Use ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar systems at a user level to support supply chain workflows and data entry.
• Build demand forecasts and supply plans using real or hypothetical data inputs.
• Develop and complete supplier evaluation scorecards based on cost, quality, reliability, and service metrics.
• Analyze inventory and stock levels, flagging discrepancies, risks, or potential shortages.
• Prepare clear, actionable reports using intermediate Excel functions for supply chain reporting and decision support.
• Combine sourcing insights with purchasing knowledge to simulate end-to-end procurement scenarios.
• Document processes and communicate findings through concise written and verbal input.

Required Qualifications

• At least five years of hands-on experience with leading ERP platforms, including SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar systems, in a supply chain context.
• A solid background in demand planning or building supplier scorecards.
• Proficiency with intermediate Excel functions for supply chain analysis and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability to evaluate suppliers and manage supplier relationships using structured processes.
• Experience collaborating with Purchasing Agents or working in sourcing and procurement roles.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain supply chain concepts clearly.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deliverables in a remote setting.
