The Role
OpenTrain is recruiting experienced strategy and management consultants to create and evaluate expert training content for AI systems. You will apply consulting expertise to challenging business problems rather than deliver traditional client engagements.
This is an individual contractor engagement available worldwide. The work is part-time and requires a commitment of 20 or more hours per week. English is required.

What You'll Do
You will develop high-difficulty tasks and gold-standard solutions that demonstrate practical, rigorous consulting judgment. You will also help maintain consistent quality as contributors produce and review training content.
Produce high-difficulty expert tasks in strategy and management consulting
Develop gold-standard solutions that demonstrate structured strategic reasoning
Create, review, and refine complex business scenarios and AI-generated outputs
Calibrate contributor work and maintain day-to-day quality standards
Identify edge cases and escalate unclear or ambiguous evaluation criteria
Apply practical judgment to recommendations, operating models, and business cases
Requirements and Preferred Background
This opportunity is designed for experienced consultants who can bring senior-level business judgment to AI evaluation and content creation. A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is required.
Experience with AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, quality assurance, or a related analytical role is helpful but not required. A top-tier or boutique consulting background and an MBA or equivalent are preferred.
8 to 15 years of strategy or management consulting experience
Engagement Manager through Principal level experience, or equivalent scope of responsibility
Strong expertise in strategic problem solving, operating-model design, and business-case structuring
Excellent analytical and executive-writing skills
Experience leading engagements, managing teams, and ensuring deliverable quality
Sound judgment when reviewing AI-generated solutions and resolving ambiguous criteria
