The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking a Speech and Accent Evaluator with strong familiarity with Irish English and local pronunciation patterns. You will interact with an AI model in Irish English by providing audio prompts and assessing its spoken responses.

Your evaluations will focus on accent, fluency, pronunciation, speech patterns, and linguistic naturalness. You will identify errors or unnatural phrasing and provide clear, constructive feedback that can guide iterative model improvement.

What You’ll Do

You will assess AI-generated audio and determine how well it reflects natural Irish English. The work includes providing structured evaluations and helping refine responses through repeated improvement cycles.

• Interact with an AI model using Irish English audio prompts
• Evaluate accent accuracy, fluency, pronunciation, and intelligibility
• Identify errors, unnatural speech patterns, and accent inconsistencies
• Provide clear, structured, and actionable feedback
• Consider phonetic and accent-specific features such as pronunciation and intonation
• Assess how repeated iterations could improve an AI response toward a perfect 7/7 rating
• Support the fine-tuning of the model’s Irish English speech capabilities

Requirements

Applicants must be based in Ireland and have at least two years of experience using Irish English in daily communication, whether in personal or professional settings. You should be able to recognize local pronunciation, accent variations, and linguistic nuances.

A background in linguistics, phonetics, speech analysis, or language teaching is helpful but not required. Strong attention to detail and the ability to explain speech observations clearly are essential.

• Provide detailed, structured feedback on speech patterns
• Identify issues in AI-generated audio accurately
