The Role

OpenTrain AI is hiring Spanish (Mexico) audio transcription experts to review and refine machine-generated transcriptions, annotate recordings with metadata and tags, and surface errors and cultural nuances that affect dataset quality.

This is an entry-level, contract, part-time position intended for contributors who can commit 20+ hours per week and who are fluent in Mexican Spanish.

What You’ll Do

Your day-to-day work focuses on improving audio transcripts and enriching recordings with structured metadata to support higher-quality AI training datasets.

• Correct and refine machine-generated Spanish (Mexico) transcriptions for accuracy and context
• Annotate audio files with detailed metadata, speaker labels, and relevant tags
• Identify and flag transcription errors, inconsistencies, and cultural or regional nuances
• Deliver precise, consistent annotations that meet project guidelines and quality standards
• Manage multiple transcription and annotation tasks remotely and communicate issues clearly

Requirements

Candidates must meet the core language and skill requirements below. All required details come from the project specification and are enforced to ensure dataset quality.

• Fluent Spanish (Mexico) speaker with excellent grammatical command
• Experience correcting machine-generated transcriptions and working with audio text
• Ability to annotate recordings with metadata and relevant tags accurately
• Strong attention to detail when identifying errors and cultural nuances
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with diverse audio formats and common digital transcription tools
