About AI training and voice work
AI training (data labeling) is the human side of building intelligent systems: people create and review examples that teach models how to speak, translate, and respond. Voice actors record scripted audio, perform characters, and provide natural speech samples used to improve speech models, localization, and conversational agents.
This role sits at the intersection of voice acting and data work: you deliver performance-focused audio that meets technical specs and creative direction for AI training purposes.
The role
OpenTrain is hiring a Spanish (Latam) Voice Actor to record professional voice-overs for AI projects. This is a remote, contract, part-time position where you will perform lines, interpret scripts, take direction, revise takes, and deliver high-quality audio in required formats.
The role is entry level-friendly but expects demonstrable voice experience and reliable equipment. The position typically requires 20+ hours per week and is open worldwide to Spanish (es) speakers.
What you'll do
Record voice-overs from a professional home studio or in-studio sessions according to provided scripts and specs.
Perform lines with clarity, emotion, and appropriate pacing for character and context.
Interpret scripts and follow creative direction from producers and reviewers.
Revise performances based on feedback and deliver new takes promptly.
Export and deliver high-quality audio files in the requested format and naming convention on time.
Requirements
Previous voice acting experience and a demo reel showcasing varied styles.
Strong vocal control, clear speech, emotional range, and pacing control.
Access to a professional home studio or high-quality remote recording equipment.
Ability to follow creative direction, accept feedback, and revise performances.
Experience with dubbing, ADR, or localization is helpful but not strictly required.
Availability for approximately 20+ hours per week; this is a contract, part-time role.
Fluent Spanish (es), Latin American accent/styles preferred.
Who should apply
You should apply if you are a working voice actor or performer with a solid demo reel, comfortable recording at home, and interested in flexible, remote AI training work. This role is well suited to actors who enjoy short-form direction-driven sessions and iterative feedback.
No advanced technical or domain certifications are required beyond reliable studio equipment and recording skills.
