The Role
As a Software Engineering AI Evaluation Specialist, you will support AI training focused on software engineering. You will review code samples, architecture proposals, and technical design documents, then provide structured human feedback that reflects sound engineering judgment.
Prior AI training experience is not required. This is a remote, part-time contractor opportunity available worldwide, with an advertised rate of $90-$140 per hour and a time requirement of 20 or more hours per week. Project schedule and duration will be established separately.

What You'll Do
You will analyze technical decisions and communicate the reasoning behind engineering choices. Your work will combine code evaluation, system design analysis, technical writing, debugging, testing strategy, and performance assessment.
Evaluate code samples and architectural proposals
Explain system design trade-offs
Provide written feedback on strengths, weaknesses, and potential improvements
Produce RFCs, ADRs, and design specifications
Conduct structured code reviews
Reason through debugging scenarios and recommend solutions
Develop automation testing strategies
Prepare performance analysis reports

Required Skills and Experience
You should be able to assess production-grade software and explain technical decisions clearly in written English. Strong documentation and code review experience are central to this role.
At least three years of experience delivering production-grade software with a modern technology stack
Strong system design and technical decision analysis skills
Practical debugging, automation testing, and performance analysis experience
Ability to communicate complex engineering concepts clearly in written English
Experience collaborating with leading organizations or academic institutions is beneficial
