The Role
OpenTrain is seeking a Simplified Chinese Audio Transcript Editor to review spoken-language data. You will listen to audio recordings, compare them with prepared Simplified Chinese transcripts, and refine the text so it accurately reflects what was spoken.
The role requires precise decisions when speech is unclear or audio quality varies. You will work independently, follow detailed instructions, and maintain accuracy across substantial volumes of transcript data.

What You'll Do
Your work will focus on detailed comparison and correction of Simplified Chinese audio and transcripts. You will be expected to make consistent, careful judgments while applying the required style and formatting standards.
Listen to Simplified Chinese audio recordings and compare them with existing transcripts
Correct wrong characters, missing words, misheard phrases, punctuation, and other transcription errors
Verify word-level timing and segment alignment
Review and correct timestamps
Apply detailed style and formatting guidelines consistently
Flag ambiguous speech and poor audio quality
Maintain accuracy across large volumes of transcript data
Requirements
This entry-level role does not require prior AI or technology experience. It does require strong Simplified Chinese language ability, careful listening, and the patience to perform precise, repetitive review work.
Native or near-native Simplified Chinese reading, writing, and listening proficiency
Ability to parse challenging audio and identify misheard words or ambiguous speech
Accuracy with word-level transcript corrections, punctuation, timestamps, and alignment
Ability to follow detailed style and formatting guidelines consistently
Exceptional attention to detail
Patient, methodical approach to repetitive work
Ability to work independently
Helpful Background
