About AI Training Work

AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Experts create examples, review model responses, and define evaluation standards that help advanced systems produce more accurate and reliable results.

In this role, your pharmacy judgment will help test how effectively AI models reason about complex medications, dosing decisions, interactions, and patient safety.

  • Contribute to cutting-edge generative AI development
  • Apply real-world professional knowledge to model evaluation
  • Work remotely with flexible part-time scheduling

The Role

OpenTrain AI is seeking a Senior Pharmacist AI Training Expert to create, evaluate, and refine advanced training and evaluation datasets for frontier AI models. You will translate senior clinical pharmacotherapy judgment into realistic scenarios, rigorous rubrics, recommendations, and gold-standard solutions.

The work focuses on complex pharmacotherapy, specialty dosing, drug interactions, medication management, and difficult clinical safety judgments. You will also help improve the complexity, accuracy, and precision of dataset outputs through calibration and revision cycles.

  • Contractor position with part-time engagement
  • Time requirement of 20 or more hours per week
  • Worldwide remote opportunity
  • English-language work

What You'll Do

You will produce high-difficulty expert tasks and reference solutions designed to test advanced clinical reasoning. You will also review contributor work, validate medical inputs, and identify ambiguous or unusually challenging cases.

  • Create expert tasks covering complex pharmacotherapy and specialty dosing
  • Develop realistic clinical scenarios, rubrics, recommendations, and reference answers
  • Evaluate drug-drug and drug-disease interactions
  • Review and calibrate work for clinical accuracy and practical realism
  • Validate clinical scenarios, laboratory inputs, and medication regimens
  • Apply rubric standards and identify edge cases or rare clinical paradoxes
  • Assess ambiguous evaluation criteria and recommend revisions
  • Participate in calibration cycles that improve dataset quality

Requirements

This role requires substantial active pharmacy practice and advanced clinical judgment. You should be comfortable assessing intricate patient profiles, identifying drug-related problems, evaluating risk-benefit trade-offs, and clearly explaining rigorous clinical reasoning.

  • PharmD or regionally equivalent pharmacy qualification
  • Active professional pharmacy licensure
  • Approximately 8 to 15 years of clinical, hospital, or specialty pharmacy practice
  • Expert knowledge of clinical pharmacotherapy and medication safety
  • Expertise in drug interactions and patient-specific dosing
  • Experience producing clinical analyses, treatment plans, dosing regimens, or related deliverables
  • Strong written communication and independent work skills
  • Ability to take ownership of quality and participate in peer calibration

Preferred Background

A pharmacy specialty credential can strengthen your application. Previous experience with AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, quality assurance, or a related analytical role is helpful but not required.

  • Board certification such as BCPS or BCOP
  • Equivalent pharmacy specialty credential
  • Prior experience reviewing or evaluating structured content
  • Experience with AI training or data-labeling projects
