The Role
OpenTrain is recruiting a Senior Management Consultant, AI Strategy to support AI systems that reason through complex strategic problems. You will create, evaluate, and refine business scenarios, recommendations, business cases, and executive-level outputs.
This is hands-on AI training work for an experienced strategy professional. The work emphasizes structured problem solving, recommendation development, operating-model design, business-case reasoning, and high standards for written deliverables.

What You'll Do
You will produce high-difficulty expert tasks and gold-standard solutions for strategic business scenarios. You will also review contributor work, calibrate outputs against quality expectations, and strengthen complex AI-generated solutions using executive writing and analytical judgment.
Create and refine strategic business scenarios for AI training
Develop solutions involving structured problem solving and recommendation development
Design scenarios focused on operating-model design and business-case reasoning
Review and calibrate contributor outputs against quality expectations
Maintain the quality of strategic deliverables
Identify genuine edge cases and ambiguous rubrics for escalation
Improve complex AI-generated recommendations and written solutions
Required Qualifications
This role requires substantial strategy or management consulting experience and the ability to apply senior consulting judgment to difficult business problems. Candidates should be comfortable leading engagements, managing teams, and maintaining the quality of executive-facing deliverables.
8 to 15 years of strategy or management consulting experience
Experience at the Engagement Manager through Principal level
Deep expertise in strategic problem solving
Expertise in operating-model design and business-case structuring
Strong analytical skills
Ability to write clear executive-level recommendations
Experience leading consulting engagements
Experience managing teams
Experience ensuring deliverable quality
Judgment to calibrate AI-generated outputs and identify rubric ambiguities or edge cases
Bachelor's degree in any field or equivalent practical experience
Preferred Background
Experience with AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, quality assurance, or a related analytical role is helpful but not required. A top-tier or boutique consulting background and an MBA or equivalent are preferred.
