Lead expert review of complex dermatology cases used in AI evaluation and data curation. This remote contractor role is for US academic dermatologists with board certification, active clinical practice, and strong peer-review judgment.
The Work
You will provide senior clinical review of complex or unclear dermatology cases in a longitudinal dataset used for AI evaluation and data curation. The work requires careful clinical judgment, guideline-based documentation, and review of model outputs.
You will also help resolve disagreements among clinical reviewers, document defensible consensus, advise project teams, provide subspecialty input, and follow project protocols while staying available during advisory hours.
- Review complex and ambiguous dermatology cases.
- Lead structured resolution when clinical reviewers disagree.
- Contribute to clinical evaluation frameworks and guideline-aligned comments.

- Document clinically defensible consensus and provide subspecialty consultation.
What It Pays and Takes
This is a part-time, independent contractor engagement. Compensation is paid per task, with the amount based on experience, academic standing, and clinical expertise.
- Pay: Per task in USD; no fixed rate is provided.
- Schedule: Expected to last 4 weeks, averaging 15 hours per week and rising to as many as 40 hours per week during peak batches.

Required Qualifications
This role requires advanced dermatology expertise and the ability to lead careful, peer-review-quality clinical decisions. Candidates must meet all of the following requirements.
- Faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor level or above at an accredited US medical school or academic medical center.
- Board certification in dermatology from the American Board of Dermatology.
- At least three years of post-residency experience.
- Active clinical practice.
- Active medical license in good standing in at least one US state.
- Strong familiarity with current dermatology guidelines.
- Clinical reasoning suitable for peer review.
- Ability to lead and document reviewer consensus.
