The work
You will provide senior clinical review for dermatology case batches in a longitudinal dataset. Your work will support AI evaluation and data curation, with careful attention to current guidelines, protocol adherence, clinical defensibility, and conflicts of interest.
- Review complex and ambiguous dermatology cases using current clinical guidelines.
- Evaluate assigned case batches and document clear, clinically defensible reasoning.
- Facilitate structured resolution when reviewers disagree.
- Help create clinical evaluation frameworks and reviewer guidance.
- Document consensus decisions and the reasoning behind them.
- Provide advisory input on AI model outputs and subspecialty questions.
- Determine when appropriate subspecialty consultation is needed.
What it pays and takes
This is a remote, asynchronous, part-time contractor engagement planned for four weeks. Compensation is pay per task, with the amount determined by your experience, academic standing, and clinical expertise.

- Hours: About 15 hours per week on average, with up to 40 hours per week during peak batches.
- Location: United States only.
- Language: English.
- Education and appointment: An Assistant Professor appointment or above at an accredited US medical school or academic medical center.
- Certification: Board certification in dermatology from the American Board of Dermatology.
- Clinical experience: At least three years since completing residency and an active clinical practice.
- Licensure: An active medical license in good standing in at least one US state.
- Required expertise: Strong written clinical reasoning, familiarity with current dermatology guidelines, and experience with complex medical images.
- Helpful background: Subspecialty fellowship training, peer-reviewed dermatology publications, clinical AI evaluation, digital health, dermatology AI research, journal peer review, IRB or research committee service, specialty society involvement, or teaching residents or fellows.
