About AI Training Work

AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Contributors prepare and evaluate examples that help AI systems understand real-world tasks, including video actions, transitions, outcomes, and other structured information. This work offers a direct way to contribute to cutting-edge technology while working remotely.

  • Help improve how AI systems interpret and evaluate robotic tasks
  • Use careful human judgment to create reliable training data
  • Work remotely with schedules and workload shaped by project milestones and annotation availability

The Senior AI Trainer Role

As a Senior AI Trainer, you will review robotic-arm task videos and create structured annotations that capture what happens in the footage. You will identify actions, transitions, and outcomes, then apply grading guidelines to produce accurate data for robotics AI training and task understanding.

This expert-level contractor role is suited to someone who can work independently, resolve ambiguous cases thoughtfully, and maintain consistent standards across a substantial video annotation project.

  • Contractor role with an expected duration of 6+ months
  • Pay range of $50-$90 per hour, with a listed rate of $70 per hour
  • Workload and schedule determined by project milestones and annotation availability
  • Candidates must be based in Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States, New Zealand, Italy, Ireland, or Canada
  • Fluent English proficiency required

What You'll Do

You will transform robotic-arm task footage into precise, reviewable training data. The work combines detailed video analysis, timeline-based annotation, quality control, and ongoing collaboration on annotation guidelines.

  • Review videos of robotic-arm tasks
  • Identify actions, transitions, and task outcomes
  • Mark precise start and end timestamps
  • Apply grading guidelines to create structured annotations
  • Verify that annotations align accurately with the footage
  • Correct inconsistencies in completed annotations
  • Submit datasets through annotation platforms
  • Collaborate on refinement of annotation guidelines
  • Participate in ongoing quality reviews
  • Resolve ambiguous annotation cases using analytical judgment
  • Provide timely progress updates while working independently
