About AI Training Work

AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Expert contributors create realistic examples, review model outputs, and define evaluation standards that help AI systems reason more accurately and responsibly.

Financial-market specialists are especially important for evaluating whether AI agents can interpret market information, reason through trading and advisory situations, communicate precisely, and apply compliance principles.

  • Work on cutting-edge AI systems using your professional knowledge
  • Contribute to realistic examples drawn from complex financial operations
  • Enjoy remote, flexible project work in a fast-growing technology field

The Role

As a Securities and Commodities AI Evaluation Task Designer, you will create expert-authored, multi-step tasks that assess how AI agents handle securities and commodities trading, client advisory, market judgment, and compliance reasoning. The work requires careful interpretation of market data, client documentation, regulatory references, and related technical materials.

This is a remote, part-time contractor opportunity requiring 20 or more hours per week. The listed compensation range is $30 to $80 per hour, depending on project specifications.

  • Role type: Remote contractor and part-time
  • Time requirement: 20 or more hours per week
  • Compensation: $30 to $80 per hour
  • Working language: English
  • Experience listing: Entry level, with specialized professional requirements

What You'll Do

You will design nuanced evaluation scenarios that reflect complex, day-to-day financial operations rather than simplified examples. Your work will help technical teams benchmark AI performance against realistic market and compliance expectations.

You will also collaborate with technical teams to clarify task intent and improve benchmarking standards. Every task should have defensible decisions, clear evaluation criteria, and documentation that supports consistent assessment.

  • Design multi-step tasks covering securities and commodities trading
  • Simulate client advisory and compliance-reasoning scenarios
  • Source, compile, and curate market data and client documentation
  • Use regulatory references and technical materials in task development
  • Define and justify correct market decisions or advisory actions
  • Create rubrics with 35 or more assessment items
  • Assess market judgment, compliance sensitivity, and communication accuracy
  • Collaborate with technical teams on task intent and benchmarking standards

Required Qualifications

This role requires demonstrated expertise in securities and commodities markets and compliance-driven financial workflows. An active Series 7/63 license or an international equivalent demonstrating regulatory proficiency is required.

Candidates must be able to interpret market data, client documentation, and regulatory materials, then turn that understanding into precise technical documentation, realistic evaluation tasks, and detailed grading rubrics.

  • Active Series 7/63 license or international equivalent
  • At least four years of experience in brokerage, banking, or a trading platform
  • Experience working in compliance-driven workflows
  • Direct experience executing trades in securities and commodities markets
  • Direct experience providing client advisory in securities and commodities markets
  • Strong market-data and regulatory-material interpretation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ability to design realistic financial evaluation tasks and comprehensive rubrics

Who Should Apply

This opportunity is suited to financial-market professionals who can make sound judgments across trading, advisory, communication, and regulatory contexts. Prior AI training experience is not required; the role values demonstrated securities and commodities expertise.

Experience working remotely and independently on complex deliverables is helpful. Applicants should be prepared to produce careful, technically precise work in English and commit to at least 20 hours per week.

  • Securities, commodities, brokerage, banking, or trading-platform professionals
  • Compliance-focused practitioners with active regulatory credentials
  • Financial experts comfortable documenting decisions and evaluation standards
  • Professionals interested in applying market expertise to AI development
