About AI Training Work

AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. People review examples, label images and video, evaluate model behavior, and provide structured feedback so AI systems can learn from accurate and consistent information.

In this project, your video reviews and annotations will help represent robotic-arm actions, behaviors, and outcomes for AI training. Prior AI experience is not required.

  • Contribute to cutting-edge AI development
  • Use careful human judgment to evaluate recorded procedures
  • Build experience in video annotation and data-labeling workflows

The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Robotic Arm Video Annotation Specialist to review footage of robotic arms completing procedures. You will apply structured annotations, grade sessions, and document observations so AI systems can learn from reliable human feedback.

This entry-level opportunity is suited to people with strong attention to detail, clear written communication, and an interest in robotics, advanced technologies, or AI-driven projects.

  • Review videos of robotic arms completing specific tasks
  • Identify key actions, behaviors, and outcomes in video footage
  • Grade and tag sessions using detailed project guidelines
  • Prior AI experience is not required

What You'll Do

You will follow project instructions to evaluate each video session consistently and explain your decisions clearly. You will also work with project trainers and other contractors to support quality across completed annotations.

The role includes organizing deliverables, meeting requested submission timeframes, and sharing feedback that can improve annotation guidance and project processes.

  • Apply structured annotations to robotic-arm video sessions
  • Record concise observations and rationales for annotation decisions
  • Apply grading and tagging guidelines consistently
  • Organize completed annotations and submit deliverables on time
  • Collaborate remotely with project trainers and other contractors
  • Provide feedback to improve annotation guidance and workflows

Requirements and Relevant Backgrounds

You should be comfortable following detailed instructions while working independently with a remote team. Familiarity with digital content review, video annotation, or data-labeling tools is valuable.

Relevant backgrounds may include UX/UI or web design, video or audiovisual production, photography, filmmaking, robotics, and mechanical or electronics engineering. The role requires the ability to identify robotic-arm actions, behaviors, and outcomes in recorded footage.

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Clear written communication skills
  • Ability to explain annotation decisions and task rationales
  • Ability to apply detailed instructions consistently
  • Familiarity with video annotation or data-labeling workflows
  • Interest in robotics, advanced technologies, or AI-driven projects is a plus
  • English language capability

Schedule, Location, and Pay

This is a remote, part-time contractor opportunity requiring 20 or more hours per week. Contributors may be located in Northern America, Latin America, Europe, the United Kingdom, or Oceania.
