About OpenTrain
OpenTrain is the centralized, open platform where AI training and data-labeling freelancers find work, consolidate opportunities across platforms, and build a unified AI training portfolio they control. We make specialized AI training work easier to track, apply for, and grow into a durable freelance career.

About this role
OpenTrain is recruiting for a Robotic Arm Video Annotation Specialist to support AI training work focused on robotic arm video annotation. This remote contractor role involves reviewing robotic arm task videos, identifying actions and outcomes, and creating accurate structured annotations that help AI systems learn from real-world input. Prior AI training experience is not required. The advertised rate is $50‑$90 USD per hour. The most important qualifications are careful observation, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow detailed grading guidelines.

What you will do
Review video footage of robotic arms performing assigned tasks and identify key actions and outcomes. Apply detailed grading guidelines to tag and annotate events within video sessions. Use video annotation tools to record structured observations and support data labeling efforts. Collaborate with project trainers and other contributors to resolve ambiguities and maintain annotation consistency. Document findings, submit annotated datasets, communicate progress and challenges, and participate in quality reviews to maintain high annotation standards.

Required skills
Relevant experience with video annotation, data labeling, or similar visual-data projects is valuable. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, written and verbal communication, time management, and self-organization are required. Candidates should be comfortable working independently, applying project instructions consistently, resolving annotation challenges, and using video annotation tools. Background in AI training, machine learning data preparation, or robotics is preferred, but prior AI experience is not required.

Why work with OpenTrain
OpenTrain gives freelancers one place to manage AI training opportunities instead of rebuilding proof of work on every platform. A stronger OpenTrain profile helps you show credible experience, discover roles that match your skills, and turn AI training and data-labeling work into a long-term portfolio.
