About OpenTrain
OpenTrain is the #1 platform for people building careers in AI training and data labeling. We help skilled professionals find specialized AI training work, consolidate opportunities, and build a unified portfolio that demonstrates their expertise.
OpenTrain AI is the hiring and contracting organization for this role. We focus on creating durable freelance careers in an industry where contributors directly shape how state-of-the-art AI systems behave.
About AI Training Work
AI training (also called data labeling or human feedback work) is the human side of building intelligent systems: reviewers and writers provide the examples, judgments, and corrections that models learn from. This work is remote, flexible, and accessible — and it gives experienced professionals direct influence over how models reason about real-world problems.
For subject-matter experts, AI training is a way to monetize deep domain knowledge (risk, compliance, audit, security) while contributing to cutting-edge systems that will be used across industries.
The Role
You will review AI-generated risk-management responses, create gold-standard outputs, and author prompts and explanations used to train and evaluate models. The focus is on judging reasoning quality, step-by-step decision-making, correctness, clarity, completeness, and adherence to prompts across risk assessments, control mappings, mitigation plans, communications, and incident response scenarios.
OpenTrain AI hires contractors for this expert-level, part-time role. Expect to produce evaluation ratings, example model outputs, and written feedback that improves model behavior and answer quality.
- Employment type: Contractor, Part-time
- Time commitment: 20+ hours per week
- Labeling tasks: Evaluation rating and text generation
What You'll Do
Your day-to-day work blends careful evaluation with content creation. Tasks include reviewing AI responses for technical accuracy and practical usefulness, writing model solutions, and testing outputs for bias or misleading certainty.
You will also provide clear, decision-ready written feedback that model developers can use to improve performance across risk scenarios.
- Review and rank AI responses using criteria such as correctness, rigor, clarity, and usefulness.
- Create gold-standard outputs and detailed prompts for risk assessments, control mappings, mitigation plans, and risk communications.
- Test model outputs for inaccuracies, misleading certainty, bias, and weak reasoning across scenarios.
- Write precise feedback and high-quality explanations that demonstrate correct approaches.

- 5+ years of professional risk management experience in ERM, operational risk, compliance, internal audit, security risk, third-party risk, or similar.

- Familiarity with frameworks such as COSO ERM, ISO 31000, NIST, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and SOX control concepts.
- Strong governance experience with risk registers, policy development, committee processes, escalations, and executive reporting.

Helpful Background
Candidates with professional certifications, demonstrated governance experience, or a track record of translating technical risk findings into business-priority recommendations will stand out. This work favors clear, concise writers who can produce decision-ready summaries.
- Professional certifications such as CRISC, CISA, CIA, ISO 27001 LI/LA, PMP, or FRM are advantageous.
