The Role

OpenTrain is recruiting a Risk Management AI Training Expert to review AI-generated risk management responses and create expert risk content for model training and evaluation. You will judge reasoning quality, step-by-step decision-making, correctness, clarity, completeness, and adherence to prompts.

The work includes assessing risk assessments, control mappings, mitigation plans, risk communications, and incident response scenarios. You will also fact-check risk and compliance concepts, identify weak or unsafe recommendations, and write explanations and model solutions that demonstrate correct approaches.

This is an expert-level contractor, part-time role requiring 20 or more hours per week. The pay range is $50 to $90 USD per hour.

What You'll Do

You will combine professional risk judgment with careful written analysis to evaluate and improve AI-generated content. Feedback should be precise, practical, and detailed enough to help improve model behavior and answer quality.

• Review and rank AI responses about risk topics for correctness, rigor, clarity, and practical usefulness.
• Create gold-standard outputs and detailed prompts for risk assessments, control mappings, mitigation plans, and risk communications.
• Test model outputs for inaccuracies, misleading certainty, bias, and weak reasoning across different scenarios.
• Provide precise written feedback that supports better model behavior and answer quality.
• Fact-check risk and compliance concepts and identify weak or unsafe recommendations.
• Write high-quality explanations and model solutions that demonstrate correct risk management approaches.

Required Qualifications

You should have a bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Business, Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Law, IT, or a related field, along with at least five years of professional risk management experience.

Strong candidates will be comfortable evaluating risk methodology, governance practices, controls, and written recommendations. English communication must be at C1 level or higher.

• 5+ years of professional experience in ERM, operational risk, compliance, internal audit, security risk, third-party risk, or similar work.
• Strong understanding of risk taxonomy, inherent versus residual risk, likelihood and impact scoring, control design and effectiveness, and KRIs or KPIs.
• Familiarity with COSO ERM, ISO 31000, NIST, SOC 2, ISO 27001, and SOX control concepts.
• Strong governance experience with risk registers, policy development, committees, escalation, and executive reporting.
• Clear written communication in English at C1 level or higher.
• Deep experience in enterprise, operational, compliance, or internal risk management.
• Ability to assess control design, control effectiveness, mitigation planning, governance, and incident response.

Helpful Background

Prior experience in AI data training, annotation, policy review, audit or risk quality assurance, or regulatory writing is strongly preferred. Professional certifications and experience connecting risk recommendations to business priorities can further support success in this role.

• CRISC, CISA, CIA, ISO 27001 LI or LA, PMP, or FRM certification.
• Experience aligning risk mitigation recommendations with business priorities and risk appetite.
• Ability to evaluate consistency across scope, assumptions, remediation feasibility, and timelines.
• Experience writing clear, decision-ready risk summaries in English.
• Experience with AI data training, policy review, audit QA, or regulatory writing.
