About AI training and this work

AI training (also called data labeling, annotation, or human feedback) is the human effort behind how modern AI learns to produce useful outputs. Contributors review, rate, and correct model outputs so AI systems become accurate, reliable, and safe.

This role focuses on evaluating AI-generated analytics content—KPI dashboards, financial models, and narrative recommendations—so models that assist revenue cycle teams produce trustworthy, actionable insights.

The role

OpenTrain is hiring a Revenue Cycle Analytics AI Evaluation Expert to review and rate AI-generated revenue cycle analytics outputs and provide structured analytical feedback used to improve model performance. This is a contractor, part-time role requiring deep revenue cycle expertise and strong analytic judgment.

  • Commitment: 20+ hours per week.
  • Location: United States only; remote work.
  • Employment type: Contractor, part-time.

You will evaluate AI-generated analytics content and annotate outputs using structured evaluation ratings. Your feedback helps train AI to produce accurate KPI reporting, dashboards, and financial recommendations for revenue cycle operations.

  • Review AI-generated KPI dashboards, scorecards, trend analyses, and financial model outputs for accuracy and completeness.
  • Rate outputs with structured evaluation labels and provide concise, actionable comments when models miss nuance or contain errors.
  • Develop and maintain revenue cycle reporting frameworks covering patient access, coding, billing, denials, A/R, and collections.
  • Perform root-cause analysis of performance variances and assess whether AI recommendations are analytically sound.
  • Support revenue cycle forecasting, budget modeling, and net revenue realization analysis as part of evaluation tasks.
  • Identify data quality issues, inconsistent definitions, and analytical errors in AI outputs to improve dataset labels and model behavior.

Requirements

Candidates must meet the stated experience and skills below. OpenTrain will rely on these qualifications to ensure you can accurately assess complex healthcare revenue cycle outputs.

  • 5+ years of experience in revenue cycle analytics, RCM reporting, or healthcare financial decision-support.

  • Proficiency with BI tools (Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent) and SQL-based data analysis.
  • Experience with EHR-integrated analytics platforms and RCM reporting systems.
  • Strong financial modeling and data interpretation skills; ability to translate complex data into operational recommendations.
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to identify errors in AI-generated analytics outputs.

Helpful background (not required)

These additional experiences will make you especially effective evaluating AI analytics outputs and may increase the impact of your feedback.

  • HFMA CRCR, CHFP, or other healthcare analytics certifications.
