The Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Punjabi AI training language expert to review AI-generated Punjabi content and create gold-standard reference answers. You will assess model outputs for correctness, fluency, tone, cultural appropriateness, prompt adherence, and logical consistency.

The work combines response review, rewriting, fact-checking, and side-by-side comparison of model answers. You will help improve the reliability, usefulness, and naturalness of Punjabi AI output.

What You'll Do

• Review AI-generated Punjabi responses for meaning, grammar, spelling, tone, register, and cultural fit.
• Identify mistranslations, ambiguity, awkward literal phrasing, hallucinated claims, and logic gaps.
• Write polished Punjabi rewrites and model answers that reflect best practices in the language.
• Rate and compare multiple AI outputs for correctness, fluency, structure, safety, and overall quality.
• Create prompts and gold-standard Punjabi answers across common use cases.
• Help detect unsafe, misleading, or policy-risk content and improve reliability across use cases.

Requirements

This role requires advanced Punjabi language judgment, strong written English communication, and experience producing or reviewing language-focused content. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience is required.

• Native or near-native Punjabi reading and writing ability.
• Strong professional English proficiency for clear written feedback.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in writing, editing, localization, translation, content QA, journalism, education, or related language-focused work.
• Strong command of Punjabi grammar, spelling conventions, punctuation, tone, and style.
• Comfort with Gurmukhi and/or Shahmukhi script use.
• Ability to adapt language for formal, informal, and audience-specific contexts.
• Prior AI data training, translation QA, editorial QA, or rubric-based evaluation experience is preferred.
