About AI training and this work

AI training (data labeling or human feedback) is the human side of building intelligent systems: people create, review, and evaluate examples that models learn from. This role focuses on evaluating AI-generated product specifications — a high-impact evaluation task that improves how models write requirements and design logic.

You will be shaping model behavior by identifying ambiguous, incomplete, or unrealistic product requirements before they are used in downstream evaluation and testing.

The role

As a Product Specification Reviewer you will evaluate AI-generated web application specifications for realism, clarity, completeness, and internal consistency. You will confirm that follow-on feature requests align with the stated product state and with browser-based test scenarios, then supply structured written feedback per project guidelines.

This is a US-only contractor, part-time role. Time expectation: 20+ hours per week. Employment types: Contractor, Part-time. Experience level (OpenTrain classification): Entry level; required prior experience is specified below.

What you'll do

Work through AI-generated product requests and judge whether each specification is buildable and testable. Provide clear, actionable, and structured feedback that helps downstream engineers and QA teams use the specs for implementation and browser-based tests.

• Review AI-generated product specifications for web applications and feature requests.
• Judge specifications for realism, completeness, and lack of ambiguity.
• Verify follow-on feature requests fit the existing product state and logic.
• Check alignment between product requirements and browser-based test scenarios.
• Flag missing requirements, unclear acceptance criteria, and inconsistent logic.
• Provide structured written feedback following project review guidelines.

Requirements

You must meet the core experience and skill requirements below. We will follow the project rubric when evaluating submissions and quality of feedback.

• 3+ years in Product Management, Technical Product Management, Product Design, or Business Analysis.
• Experience writing or reviewing PRDs, user stories, product requirements, or acceptance criteria.
• Strong understanding of modern web application workflows and user experience.
• Comfort evaluating complex feature specifications and product logic.
• Excellent written communication and strong attention to detail.
• Familiarity with browser-based test scenarios and experience working with engineering and QA teams is preferred.

Compensation, data and workflow details

Pay model: Hourly contractor pay. Rate range: $30–$60 per hour (billing at PAY_PER_HOUR). Expected commitment: 20+ hours per week. Tasks involve reviewing TEXT data and producing evaluation ratings and written outputs.

Labeling/data details: Data type is TEXT. Labeling tasks include EVALUATION_RATING and TEXT_GENERATION-style review outputs. You will submit structured comments and ratings using project-provided guidelines and review forms.
