The Portuguese Audio Recording Expert Role

OpenTrain is seeking a Portuguese Audio Recording Expert to produce high-quality European Portuguese recordings for a project training next-generation AI systems. The work requires strong linguistic authenticity, including awareness of regional Portuguese nuances.

This is a remote, part-time contractor role with a flexible workload of 20 or more hours per week. Hours will be discussed, and candidates based in Portugal are preferred.

What You'll Do

You will create clear, accurate, and natural-sounding speech samples while following detailed project specifications. Consistency, authenticity, and careful adherence to recording standards will be important throughout the project.

• Produce high-quality audio recordings in European Portuguese.
• Use professional-grade equipment to capture clear and natural speech.
• Follow required recording protocols for file formatting, environment standards, and submissions.
• Provide an initial audio sample during onboarding.
• Work with the project team to support consistency and authenticity.
• Apply awareness of regional Portuguese nuances to your recordings.
• Review deliverables carefully and maintain accurate, organized submissions.

Requirements

This opportunity is suited to an experienced audio professional who is a native European Portuguese speaker and can deliver polished recordings using advanced production tools. You must be able to provide a high-quality sample recorded with professional-grade equipment.

• Native fluency in European Portuguese, including awareness of regional nuances.
• At least three years of professional audio recording experience in a studio, voice-over, broadcasting, or similar setting.
• Proficiency with advanced audio recording equipment and editing software.
• A strong portfolio of relevant audio work.
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accurate deliverables.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to provide a high-quality audio sample using professional-grade equipment.
