The Role
OpenTrain is hiring a Portuguese AI Response Evaluation Expert to assess AI-generated responses and language outputs. You will evaluate reasoning quality, accuracy, clarity, and adherence to prompts while applying strong Brazilian Portuguese localization and translation judgment.
This is an hourly, part-time contractor role with fully remote work. The role is based in Brazil, is associated with Brazil and Portugal, requires 20 or more hours per week, and pays $30 per hour.

What You'll Do
Review AI-generated responses for accuracy, logic, clarity, and adherence to the prompt.
Evaluate step-by-step problem solving, methodology, and conceptual understanding.
Fact-check names, dates, units, references, and other localized details.
Write high-quality explanations and model solutions when needed.
Compare multiple AI responses and rate their correctness and reasoning quality.
Apply Brazilian Portuguese localization and translation judgment to preserve terminology, tone, and cultural nuance.
Assess MQM and LQA issues by severity, category, and root cause.
Use CAT tools, translation memory, termbases, and QA workflows where appropriate.
Required Qualifications
You should bring professional translation, localization, language, or editorial expertise and be comfortable evaluating complex AI-generated content. Experience with AI data training, annotation, or evaluation is preferred, but the core requirement is strong judgment across language quality, reasoning, and factual accuracy.
Degree in Translation, Linguistics, Localization, Communications, or a related field.
Native or near-native Portuguese proficiency, with Brazilian Portuguese judgment.
C1 English reading and writing proficiency for prompts and evaluation guidelines.
At least 5 years of localization or translation experience.
Knowledge of MQM and LQA severity, category, and root-cause analysis.
Experience with CAT tools, translation memory, termbases, and QA workflows.
Excellent editorial judgment and strong fact-checking skills.
Familiarity with terminology management, automated checks, style guides, and copyediting.
