About This Role

We are recruiting a Peru-based native Spanish voice actor to record clean, natural, and expressive speech used to train and evaluate text-to-speech (TTS) and conversational AI. Recordings will include conversational, narrative, and instructional scripts and must maintain consistent accent, pacing, and pronunciation across sessions.

This is a contract, part-time role intended for contributors located in Peru who can reliably deliver 5–10 hours per week.

What You'll Do

You will produce high-quality voice recordings following provided scripts and recording guidelines. Work focuses on clarity, emotional range, and consistency across takes and sessions.

• Record voice samples across diverse scripts (conversational, narrative, instructional).
• Deliver expressive speech with controlled tone, pacing, and pronunciation.
• Maintain consistent voice quality and accent across recording sessions.
• Follow recording guidelines for environment, microphone setup, and file formatting.
• Perform multiple takes when different emotion, emphasis, or style is requested.

Required Qualifications

You must meet all required qualifications to be eligible for this role. We will verify location and language fluency during onboarding.

• Native Peruvian Spanish speaker currently based in Peru.
• Experience in voice acting, dubbing, narration, podcasting, or broadcasting.
• Access to a professional or near-professional recording setup with a quality microphone and a quiet environment.
• Strong command of intonation, diction, and emotional range; ability to follow scripts precisely while keeping delivery natural.
• Reliable availability for 5–10 hours per week and ability to meet agreed deadlines.

Helpful Background

These are not required but will make your application more competitive and help you deliver work faster.

• Previous experience recording for TTS, audiobooks, IVR, or AI voice datasets.
• Familiarity with audio editing tools such as Audacity, Adobe Audition, or Reaper.
• Ability to perform multiple vocal styles (conversational, corporate, energetic, calm).

Compensation & Schedule

This is a part-time contractor role paid hourly through OpenTrain.

• Pay: USD 50 per hour (hourly rate).
• Expected time commitment: Less than 20 hours/week; typical availability needed is 5–10 hours/week.
• Employment types: Contractor, Part-time.
• Location requirement: Must be based in Peru (remote work).
