The Role

OpenTrain is recruiting a Personal Finance AI Evaluation Expert to help fine-tune large language models and improve consumer-focused financial planning tools. You will translate practical household money management expertise into reliable spreadsheet logic, operational guardrails, and quality standards.

The role is suited to someone with strong personal finance knowledge and relevant experience in travel planning, event and meeting coordination, agency operations, or hospitality management. Familiarity with multi-city itineraries, vendor balances, guest RSVP workflows, and shared-cost allocation formulas is especially relevant.

What You'll Do

You will evaluate financial workflows and AI-generated outputs for accuracy, consistency, and practical usefulness. The work combines personal finance judgment with detailed spreadsheet and operational review.

• Define discovery parameters for income cadence, budgeting approaches, debt structures, and savings goals.
• Establish financial and operational guardrails for AI tools and workflow builders.
• Validate bank and credit CSV exports, loan statements, budget notes, and other context materials.
• Verify debt payoff schedules, budget rollups, net-worth formulas, and validation dropdowns.
• Review AI-generated outputs against financial coaching and advisory practices.
• Provide quality sign-off and identify issues requiring correction.
• Help refine personal budgets, bill calendars, subscription-auditing tools, and related workflow designs.
• Check granular cost drivers, per-person allocations, vendor deposits and balances, guest RSVPs, and contingency buffers.

Required Skills and Experience

Strong practical knowledge of household budgeting, debt repayment, savings planning, sinking funds, and net-worth tracking is required. You must be able to turn complex financial or operational workflows into deterministic spreadsheet formulas and validation structures.

Clear, concise professional writing and strong analytical judgment are essential. At least four years of relevant experience in travel planning, event and meeting coordination, agency operations, or hospitality management is required. A bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience is acceptable.
