The Role

OpenTrain is seeking an Odia Language AI Evaluation Specialist to review AI-generated Odia content, produce gold-standard reference answers, and assess response quality. You will compare multiple outputs and provide precise written feedback in English while applying strong Odia language judgment.

This is an entry-level, part-time contractor opportunity paying $15 per hour. The expected time commitment is 20 or more hours per week. The opportunity is listed for contributors in Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, and Thailand.

What You’ll Do

You will evaluate Odia responses across general knowledge, customer support, education, and conversational writing tasks. Your work will involve identifying problems, explaining quality judgments, and rewriting content so it reflects accurate, natural, and appropriate Odia usage.

• Review AI-generated Odia content for accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, and cultural fit
• Create high-quality Odia reference content and gold-standard answers
• Identify errors involving meaning, mistranslation, register, ambiguity, and logical consistency
• Fact-check claims when needed and rewrite responses for clarity and best practice
• Compare and rank multiple AI responses based on correctness and overall quality
• Detect unsafe, misleading, biased, or policy-risk language
• Provide detailed feedback and quality explanations in English

Requirements and Helpful Experience

You should have native or near-native Odia reading and writing ability, along with strong professional English writing skills. A background in language-focused work is important, and prior AI evaluation experience is strongly preferred but not required for this entry-level role.

• Background in linguistics, translation, journalism, writing, editing, localization, or related language work
• Strong knowledge of Odia grammar, spelling conventions, punctuation, and style
• Comfort working with multiple registers, regional variation, and audience adaptation
• Ability to detect mistranslation, register issues, ambiguity, logical problems, and cultural mismatch
• Experience with translation QA, editorial QA, content QA, proofreading, copyediting, or localization workflows
• Experience comparing AI responses and explaining quality judgments
• Familiarity with AI data training, prompt writing, reference answers, or rubric-based evaluation
