This role focuses on Nynorsk—helping ensure translations, localized content, and transcreations read naturally, follow style guidance, and meet language standards used by modern AI systems.

The role

We are hiring a Nynorsk Language Review Specialist to review, edit, and proofread Nynorsk content for accuracy, cultural relevance, and consistency with style and glossaries. You will support translation, localization, and transcreation tasks and collaborate with writers, translators, and cross-functional teams.

This is a contract, part-time role (less than 20 hours per week). Work is open to contributors worldwide who meet the language requirements and can work remotely.

What you'll do

• Review and refine Nynorsk content for linguistic accuracy and consistency
• Support translation, localization, and transcreation efforts into Nynorsk
• Develop and maintain glossaries and style guides for Nynorsk usage
• Provide constructive feedback to writers and translators
• Help keep content fresh and engaging for Nynorsk-speaking audiences
• Contribute to training sessions and workshops on best practices

Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in Nynorsk
• Experience editing, proofreading, or translating Nynorsk content
• Strong attention to detail and linguistic accuracy
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural remote teams
• Comfort adapting tone and style across formats and audiences
• Familiarity with digital tools for content creation and editing
• Familiarity with localization or transcreation workflows and CAT tools (required per additional requirements)

Helpful background (preferred)

The following qualifications are not required but will strengthen your application and fit for advanced tasks and mentoring roles.

• Degree in Linguistics, Language Studies, Communications, or a related field
• Experience using CAT tools or localization platforms
• Previous involvement in training, mentoring, or developing style guides for language teams
