AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. People with specialized knowledge create examples, assess model outputs, and explain what a strong answer should look like so that AI systems become more accurate, useful, and reliable.
This role focuses on expert evaluation of macroeconomic reasoning. Your point-in-time judgments will help assess whether AI models correctly interpret central bank communication without relying on hindsight, confidential information, or material non-public information.
OpenTrain is seeking a Non-G7 Central Bank Macro Analyst to create expert-authored forecasting and research data for evaluating and improving AI models on real macroeconomic analysis. You will concentrate on one specific non-G7 central bank and apply detailed knowledge of its communication style and reaction function.
The work is centered on calibrated, point-in-time judgment. You will base each assessment on the information available at a defined evidence cutoff and avoid hindsight, data leakage, confidential information, and material non-public information.
This is remote, hourly contractor work with a default commitment of 20 hours per week. The pay rate is $150 to $250 per hour.
You will interpret central bank statements, meeting minutes, speeches, and wording changes in the relevant source language. You will compare current communication with prior guidance and prevailing market expectations, then document the reasoning behind your assessment.
You will also review model-generated macroeconomic analyses and grade them against your professional standard. Strong work will reflect the judgment an experienced analyst would have made using only the information available at the time.
You should have professional fluency in the relevant central bank’s source language, deep knowledge of its reaction function and communication style, and experience reading its communication in real time across multiple policy cycles.
Relevant experience may include central bank economics or advisory work, senior local rates strategy, or senior foreign exchange strategy. Typically, eight or more years of direct experience are expected, although unusually strong evidence of equivalent performance may also qualify.
The role requires the ability to make and explain calibrated macroeconomic judgments across rates, foreign exchange, and equities.
Experience with the exact central bank is especially valuable. Relevant backgrounds may also include the Bank for International Settlements, the International Monetary Fund, a leading local institution, a top emerging-markets team at a global bank, or an established macro fund.
Brand-name experience is not required when direct expertise and demonstrated performance show a strong fit for the work.
This opportunity is listed for contractors located in Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Czechia, Germany, Denmark, Estonia, Spain, Finland, France, the United Kingdom, Greece, Croatia, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Sweden, Slovenia, Slovakia, and the United States.
English is listed as a supported language. Apply through OpenTrain to create your profile and submit your expertise for consideration.
