About AI training work

AI training (also called data labeling or annotation) is the human work that helps models learn: people transcribe speech, label audio, rate model outputs, and more. These roles are typically 100% remote, flexible, and accessible to newcomers with strong attention to detail and language skills.

The role

We’re hiring native French (France) speakers to create clean, standardized transcripts of short conversational recordings and to perform simple listening-based verification and labeling. This is a long-term, part-time contract with a steady daily workload of about one hour.

• Transcription only: produce verbatim, standardized French transcripts (not translation, not creative writing).
• Use platform controls to flag unclear or unusable audio and mark segments you cannot confidently understand.
• Consistency and accuracy matter more than speed.

What you'll do (daily tasks)

Complete your daily batch of short audio clips using the web-based annotation interface. Follow the provided style and formatting rules exactly, apply platform conventions for unclear speech, and make careful listening judgments when audio is imperfect.

• Listen to short French recordings and transcribe what was said into clean, standardized text.
• Apply strict punctuation, capitalization, accents, and spelling conventions consistently.
• Flag or label segments that are unclear, noisy, or otherwise unusable according to instructions.
• Perform simple verification checks on existing transcriptions as requested.

Requirements

Applicants must meet all of the following location, language, equipment, and availability requirements.

• Currently located in France (France-based applicants only).
• Native French speaker (France French) with native-level written accuracy.
• Strong command of French spelling, punctuation, capitalization, and standard writing conventions.
• Able to commit to ~1 hour/day, Monday–Friday, long-term (12+ months).
• Reliable internet, a computer suitable for web-based tools, quality headphones, and a quiet workspace.
• Comfortable following strict guidelines without improvisation and making careful listening judgments.
• Able to handle imperfect audio and mark unclear segments using platform conventions.
• Willing to complete a short French transcription screening sample before starting.
• Prior transcription, captioning/subtitling, or speech data labeling/QA experience is preferred but not required.

Compensation, schedule, and next steps
