About OpenTrain
OpenTrain is the #1 platform for finding and building careers in AI training and data labeling. We connect people with structured, paid projects where contributors teach AI by recording, labeling, and reviewing data — all remotely and with flexible schedules.
About AI Training Work
This project contributes to AI voice systems and speech recognition by collecting high-quality, natural speech recordings. AI training work is remote, often part-time, and accessible to people with the right equipment and attention to detail — contributors directly shape how voice assistants and speech models perform.
The Role
We are looking for native Dutch voice actors with prosumer-or-better recording setups to record scripted, single-speaker dialogue. Recordings must be production-ready on the first pass and delivered directly on-platform using the project's internal tooling.
- Location: Remote (work from anywhere)
- Employment: Contractor, part-time
- Time expectation: project requests availability of 20+ hours/week
- Screening: submit an unprocessed recording sample; qualified candidates complete a brief screening test
What You’ll Do
Record scripted Dutch dialogue with natural delivery, consistent pacing, and stable microphone technique. Follow detailed timing and articulation guidelines and deliver clean, raw audio with minimal retakes.
- Solo scripted recordings uploaded via internal proprietary tooling
- Maintain consistent tone, pacing, and mic position across takes
- Deliver production-ready raw audio with no post-processing applied
- Follow provided instructions for timing, clarity, and articulation
Technical Requirements & Audio Specs
You must use a prosumer or professional recording setup and work in a quiet, controlled space with basic acoustic treatment. Do not apply noise reduction, compression, or other post-processing to submitted files.
- Native-level fluency in Dutch required; clear pronunciation and natural delivery
- Equipment: USB condenser (e.g., Rode NT-USB Mini, Rode NT1 5th Gen) or XLR mic with audio interface (e.g., AT4040 + Audient iD14, Sennheiser MK4) or equivalent
- Recording environment: quiet, treated room (curtains, foam, carpet) with no audible echo, reverb, or background noise
- No post-processing on files — raw, unprocessed audio only
- Crest Factor: ≥ 10 dB (≥ 13 dB preferred)
- Signal-to-Noise Ratio (A-weighted): ≥ 55 dB
- Integrated Loudness: ≥ -36 LUFS
- Consistent gain and mic positioning across recordings
Performance Expectations & Availability
We expect confident, natural performances with stable pacing and minimal retakes. Follow instructions precisely and maintain consistent technical quality throughout sessions.
- Stable tone and pacing throughout sessions
- Minimal retakes required — aim to deliver clean audio on the first pass
- Availability: project lists 20+ hours per week as a requirement
