The role
OpenTrain is hiring a Music Audio Model Evaluation Specialist to review and score generative musical AI outputs and to annotate training audio. This contract, part-time role (less than 20 hours/week) is worldwide and requires Swedish and English proficiency. Pay ranges from $30 to $54 per hour depending on the work assigned.

What you'll do
Evaluate AI-generated music for lyrical accuracy, vocal generation quality, musicality, creativity, and prompt adherence
Score musical training data and rate samples using structured evaluation rubrics
Compare pairs or sets of audio samples head-to-head for musicality, creativity, vocal quality, and production/mix quality
Annotate songs with genre, sub-genre, song structure, and vocal or instrumental characteristics using a taxonomy
Use audio-engineering terminology when assessing outputs (mix balance, EQ, dynamics, spatial placement, artifacts)
Requirements
You must meet all of the listed requirements to be considered for this role.
3+ years of experience as a music producer, audio engineer, or sound mixer
Strong understanding of musical performance, theory, and lyrical composition
Experience writing lyrical music in Swedish
Native or near-native proficiency in Swedish and English; comfortable following directions in English
Ability to evaluate musicality, creativity, vocal quality, and mix/production quality using professional terminology
