Mechanical Engineering AI Trainer

You will help train and evaluate AI systems by creating mechanical engineering materials and reviewing AI-generated outputs. The work combines practical design judgment with careful checks of CAD models, drawings, requirements, and technical documentation.

You will collaborate asynchronously with cross-functional teams using remote communication tools. Previous AI training experience is not required, but strong mechanical engineering experience is essential.

• Create detailed 3D CAD models of simple mechanical components using SolidWorks, NX, Creo, CATIA, or a comparable platform.
• Interpret technical drawings and identify important dimensions, tolerances, and specifications.
• Document component requirements, technical specifications, manufacturing tolerances, and related details in structured formats.
• Provide input on conceptual stress analysis and finite element analysis tasks to support model validation.
• Review and improve CAD outputs and technical documents for accuracy and clarity.
• Give written and verbal feedback that helps train and validate AI systems in mechanical engineering.

What It Pays And Takes

This is a part-time remote contractor role for experienced mechanical design professionals. The work is open to candidates in the countries listed below and is conducted in English.

• Pay: $55 to $100 USD per hour.
• Time requirement: 20 or more hours per week.
• Work arrangement: Remote contract work with asynchronous collaboration.

• Experience: At least five years of hands-on mechanical design engineering experience.
• Required skills: 3D CAD modeling, finite element analysis, technical drawing interpretation, stress analysis, engineering validation, and requirements definition.
• You should be able to work across one or more of SolidWorks, NX, Creo, CATIA, or comparable CAD platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication, close attention to technical detail, and experience taking engineering work from requirements through validation and documentation are required.
• Experience modeling mechanical components as a design engineer or working across multiple CAD platforms is helpful.
