The work

Help assess how AI models handle demanding mechanical and hardware design problems. You will create realistic technical tasks, write reference answers, and judge model responses.

  • Build scenarios and problem sets for mechanical and hardware design applications.
  • Write technically sound reference solutions and grading rubrics that distinguish correct, incomplete, and exceptional responses.
  • Evaluate AI-generated answers for accuracy, depth, and sound technical judgment.
  • Explain your decisions in clear written feedback and structured analysis.

What it pays and takes

  • Pay: Not specified.
  • Hours: At least 20 hours per week; the work is asynchronous and intended to fit around existing work.
  • Location: Remote, open to candidates in eligible countries.
  • A bachelor's degree is required. A professional engineering license or master's degree is an advantage.
  • Relevant skills include CAD, RTL or HDL, robotics, or related hardware work. You should be currently or recently active in hands-on professional work.
  • Strong writing skills and the ability to work independently and asynchronously are required.
  • Experience reviewing, grading, editing, or giving peer feedback on technical work is useful. Relevant publications, open-source contributions, or recognized work products are also valuable.
